Merkel tells Pope off + Germany doesn't need snow for stand-still

Well, two big topics today:

Mrs Angela Merkel, the German prime minister tells the pope off, as he has just "rehabilitated" a bishop that keeps on denying the existance of the holocaust.

Vatican reacts: "the pope has clearly rejected any denial of the holocaust".

There we are again: Mrs Merkel, you have not yet understood: a democratically elected head of government (even having been against my vote) can not tell someone undemocratically elected what to do or not to do, and even less, what to say. Got it now?

I have been asking myself lately why islamic fundamentalists don't bombard the vatican? This would be a quick way of getting rid of the head of Christian Medusa.

Fundamentalist catholics are as intolerant (or even more) as muslim ones and are as counter-productive for the "dialogue between civilizations"!

... but God exists! Last weekend a German unemployed (who due to banks' greed has lost his job) won 17.5 MILLION €uro ... poor banks ... they should rather have played the lottery than speculating on mortgages and real estate.

This brings up the fundamentalist issue again: why do our muslim fundamentalist friends no bomb western banks? ... because they are playing on behalf of their case! ... destroying western civilization.

Good night

... is what I would have said usually, but ...

there has been a stand-still in the biggest city of Europe since yesterday (Monday, February nd, 2009) caused by 10cm of snow! (... why do muslim fundamentalists not invent a biiiig snow machine?)

I have just seen on the news that in Germany we don't even need the snow! ... we've got enough with the unhappy people in our country to get the country there. This is the perfect solution: if you want to stop time from passing, just leave your civil servants with no increase of salary for a couple of years, agree to greedy managers and banks constantly increasing their revenues and tell the civil servants that there is no money available (while managers and banks stuff their pockets with millions which they then take abroad, to some fiscal paradise, and get fined with literally "nothing" - see Zumwinkel) ... this way you don't need "natural catastrophes", like 10cm of snow in one night in the north of Europe, or the Vatican or even arab fundamentalists spreading bombs all over the place.

I think I may have found another grain of sand to contribute to understanding the world wide financial crisis!

Could the World Bank not simply SHUT DOWN ALL FISCAL PARADISES, NOW?! ... what a load of money could be got hold of! ... money noone knew that still was there. Come on IWF, you can take it ... most of it has no owner anyway!

G20 + nothing else

Well, well, well, the buzz seems to be over. Oh, ... is there still a crisis going on? My bank does not seem to have realized there has been a crisis at all: 8 missed calls of theirs today! I would so much like to know how many calls the people get who have bought a house and have a mortgage on it. Most likely not one call, as banks (at least in Spain) are becoming rather Real Estate Agencies than anything else with all the homes they are embargoing.
It seems that they really believe that housing will climb further in value here in Spain, despite the terribly bad work they do. (I have been living a month now in a "brand new" apartment - two blinds have come down alreay and the front door doesn't lock properly anymore ... after just one month! ... we will have it wrecked after a year!)
... ah, and what has been decided on the "miraculous G20 meeting"? ... or have our saving leaders just burnt another couple of millions with flights, security measures, dinners and photographers, photos and etceteras?

G20 + some more

After 6 hours of meetings and 4 hours for photographs the "leaders of the world" decided to GET BACK to "contol values" (Peer Steinbrück Interview: http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/content/228?inPopup=true).
So there were "control mechanisms" before some "cataclysm" happended. Strange, isn't it?
Now we (tax payers) have to pay 2,500 Million USD to save banks who are again charging 25% of interest rates of credit cards we have been given - because they did not want to give us loans at 4% or 5% interest rate.
The biggest problem: we will be paying even more from March on, when the "world leaders" realize that all those broker cocaine-junkies don't fall for their eye-washing, and all the investors realize that they can not eat the money they have lost, but still feeel theor right of claiming their revenues.
We will have lots of fun with the financial world in the near future.
Please give best regards to your bank!
