Choking on a bite of the apple of Eden

... yes, I quoted, a band called Death Angel, who I usually don't like too much, but this sentence just carved into my mind.

Today chatting with a colleague looking at the wonderful weather outside we felt the strong urge to sit outside and have a beer, maybe some sardines with it, hearing the Mediterranean waves reaching the beach and all of a sudden we realized something transcendental. We love our job, but we only do in the sense that it is the smallest of all other possible job-evils. Asking ourselves who would want to work, we started getting to our personal vision of paradise, of course nothing worth publishing came out, but we realized that "would it not have been for the bite Eve had herself and made Adam have, we would not be sitting there, but on the beach with a beer in our hands.

So we reached the conclusion that men have to work, because women wanted knowledge, which they now refuse to have and leave it up to us (reading instruction manuals and all those funny things we are allowed to do in order to stay alive). And basically WE have to work, because THEY made us reach knowledge, while THEY are either staying at home or spend OUR money in shopping centres.

I think I will have to rethink the bible from a more macho perspective to understand all the sarcasm and irony it holds within!
